Сравнение послевоенной идентичности в СССР и Японии послевоенного периода проводить достаточно сложно, так как критериев идентичности может быть великое множество. В настоящем исследовании рассмотрены такие аспекты послевоенной идентичности Японии и Советского Союза в период с 1945 по 1991 г., как историческая память о Второй мировой войне, система политической власти, приоритеты социального развития, а также «новый» патриотизм, не связанный с военным прошлым и основанный на послевоенных достижениях, позволивших странам позиционировать себя в глобальном масштабе.
It is difficult to conduct a comparison of postwar identity of the USSR and Japan in the postwar period, as there can be a lot of criteria of identity. The author analyses various aspects of Soviet and Japanese postwar identity in the period from 1945 till 1991, such as the historic memory of the WWII, the system of political power, the priorities of social development, as well as «the new patriotism» which was not associated with the military past but was rooted in postwar achievements that enabled both countries to position themselves on the global scale.
